It is likely that the person who delivered the fatal blows to her head had an accomplice, for a witness reported having seen two men (one with a clipboard) talking to Doris on her doorstep about 45 minutes before her home help discovered her body. ĭoris Kellett was a 92-year-old who was hammered to death in her own home. Nobody has been tried for Bridget's murder or manslaughter, but the nurse and a colleague of hers did get convicted of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
A Home Office pathologist concluded that Bridget had struggled with an attacker before suffocating to death as a result of being pressed face-down into bedding.
